a hands on personal approach and a problem solving attitude

moulding mould making

I am Roos Voorsluis and I like to make [unusual] things.

I like experimenting with different techniques and materials, learning how to use and implement them. With over 20 years of experience I can draw from a wide array of skills like moulding and casting, practical effects, miniature making, sculpting…. The materials I use to bring life to my clients idea’s involve silicone, foam latex, resins, pu`s and many more.

I am fascinated by the challenges of every new project, bringing it’s own set of requirements, demanding it`s own unique solutions and adding to the experience of past projects. With a problem solving attitude, my approach is hands on and personal with an open style of communication.

I started in the Dutch film industry in 2002 and after working in the costume department for a short period, I switched over to the art department. This is where I started honing my making skills. During this time I learned a lot about techniques and materials from working with experienced prop makers like Rob Hillenbrink at Robs Prop Shop in the Netherlands

After moving to Belgium in 2012 I continued my path by first working for and then partnering up with Eric De Wulf at Wulf-fx. For 5 years we ran Wulf-fx togheter. I learned a lot and we accomplished some great projects.

Today my journey in making the unusual continues with Tinker Special Props and Modelmaking.
